There's been tons of AMBW meet ups in California & Vegas. Guess you just have to know where to look or who to talk to.

someone recently made a thread on this topic, and just as i was replying, it was deleted, so i'll post my answer here for anyone who wants to read it.

i'm just going to give a quick answer for now because these are the things that popped into my head.

1. sagittarius men are known for liking things that are taboo, that includes liking women who do not look like their own kind. astrology doesn't have to be believed, but it lists some truthful info about the way people think, imo.
2. even if you take away the astrological "mumbo jumbo" and jump into the myers-briggs mumbo jumbo , certain people, such as myself (i'm a girl, though, not a guy), with certain personality types do not like what is familiar, boring, or ordinary most of the time. they like things that they consider very rare or unusual, in a good way.
3. men like variety, and so do women.
4. from what i've read on this board, some of the men have said they can only choose from fairer women or women of their own race because their family puts too much pressure on them to go against those wishes.
5. every case will be different since men may fall for a women's personality. things change over time and people's taste sometimes change.
6. what was their background like? for me personally, i grew up near a half korean, half black neighborhood friend. he was the most attractive of other boys because he had masculine and aesthetically pleasing features (sharp cheekbones even though he was still in elementary school, no baby fat on the face, and almond-shaped eyes). he looked rare, exotic, and had sharp features, so it was very easy for him to find a girlfriend in his later years when we were all old enough to start dating. this was a black neighborhood, by the way, and he had brown skin and curly hair that didn't look exactly like black people's hair, more like hair that shows a mix of both his races. i am mixed myself, and am familiar with that sort of blend in the hair.
7. some asian men will go against their parents wishes. (there may be a number of reasons for this, but i haven't read up on it enough to give much info about it. i mostly just know that people want to decide what their own lives and futures will be like, since it's their own happiness they're talking about.)
8. if you are theist, the best way to look at it, imo, is you have to start believing you'll get what was planned for you regardless of what the world says. when you get yourself in the right frame of mind, worry won't even enter into the picture and you can throw away the statements i listed above because now your'e looking at the situation from a place of strength and confidence, and a guy will like you for your optimistic, light, and positive attitude. i only listed the above to give you an idea that there are many concrete reasons why things should be ok, since it is sometimes hard to hold on to a belief if the world is throwing fear into one's mind, and also to show you that some obstacles aren't what we think they are. also, just like in the scripture "God will make a way out of no way" comes to mind, along with "be still and know that i am God." that means calm down, He is in control, not the world, not what others say, not what you may think or say. "His thoughts are above our thoughts, His ways are above our ways." He brings "a peace that passes all understanding." "My peace i give you, My peace i leave with you." that means don't fear things, He knows how to turn things around. He knows what will happen 1 week, 6 weeks, and 50 years from now in order to put people on the path He has laid out. it is God's will, not our own. and because it is His will, He will make it happen, but He requires you to believe, have faith. otherwise, fear will make you do things you shouldn't and will give you the opposite of what you're looking for.

*that rule in #8 also applies to atheists, because as long as you put yourself in the right frame of mind, positive things start to happen. positive thinking creates positive results. and "what you focus on expands."

I apologise, I thought no one was interested lol. Anyway, I agree with your outlook and appreciate your theistic input. It is most definitely about who you connect with but, it just seems like Asian men have way more of an interest in fairer girls than darker girls. Again, I do not know enough. I will read up on it.

Ambw couples are such a rarity. A beautiful rarity. Usually Gorgeous offspring. Definitely wish it were more common.

i barely noticed this post today, sorry. no problem, i just thought i'd list those points for anyone who wants to see them. also, a majority of Asian men may only be interested in fairer-looking girls because in Asia light skin is favored over any other skin type. even lots of those kpop singers would be considered too dark because their skin naturally looks tanned, so even within their own culture, they aren't considered light enough even though girls all over the world like their skin tone. and, to make those singers seem more gorgeous, their photos are lightened at their record company's request, but it sometimes makes them look so pale. because of this standard of beauty when it comes to lighter skin, some Asian men, whether they're celebrities are not, are told they themselves are not desirable enough, and that causes some of them to walk around feeling that way about themselves. that's why it's important to "keep your eye on the prize" and to remember if some views are a waste of your time when it comes to getting what you want, then they don't deserve your attention because it keeps unhappy or negative thoughts in your mind and because the right guy will be out there looking for you. plus, if you don't keep your eyes open for the right guy, you'll always regret not trying.

The problem with the ambw community/relationship is the fetishism. Black girls idolize the idea of asian men and come up with these ridiculous fantasies. They don't acknowledge asian guys can behave like every other type of man. They can cheat, be abusive, lose interest, & lie like black, white, & latino men.

The same with asians who love black women for their curves, big lips, & twerking abilities. They spend more time fantasizing about the sex & conquering the woman with the attitude they don't realize that black women are capable of being anything. We are dorks, soft-spoken, intelligent, & not always over the top in sexuality.

Stereotypes run rampant in the ambw community, which is why it is so problematic. You would think two minority groups would better understand the harm stereotypes can have, but...

Im glad you have the basic idea,but Same can apply to the positive side. Like we can all dance and sing like kpop star? You have to choose to trust someone before considering dating them wont it ? Black people used to come to china to play with chinese women and knocked them out like a toy ,and run away. I used to hate the whole group of black people but late i realised innocnet people are not responsible to this.

I think the thing about stereotyping is pretty spot on. But, personally, I'm hoping to meet some interesting guys here and see if I can't pick up a new knowledge about cultures.
